8-Day Special Peyote & Ayahuasca Retreat

Ayahuasca & Peyote Special is a 7-night retreat in Portugal’s Algarve (about 35 minutes from Faro Airport), designed as a carefully paced ceremonial and integration journey rather than a “stacked intensity” experience. The retreat includes two Ayahuasca ceremony nights, spacious rest and integration days, and one rare, once-a-year Peyote (Hikuri) ceremony night that completes the arc.

What makes the Peyote night special is that it is not offered as a casual add-on. This ceremony is guided by Marakame Juan (Don Juan Ortiz), a Wirrarika (Huichol) traditional healer and First Chant Leader (Primer Cantor) with 35+ years of experience working with the Blue Deer Medicine (Hikuri/Peyote). He leads the traditional Wirikuta Deer Hunt pilgrimage and is permitted to perform sacred “living offerings” rituals, which are devoted to restoring balance and honoring the forces of life. Access to a lineage-held Peyote ceremony in Europe is rare, which is why this retreat runs as a once-a-year special.

The retreat also holds a strong ethical frame around Peyote. Peyote is slow-growing and increasingly rare, and we do not use it casually. In our regular work we often choose sustainable alternatives (such as San Pedro), and when Peyote is offered, it is done with clear purpose, respect, and a structured container.

Support begins before you arrive. Every participant goes through screening and suitability checking, followed by preparation support (including a 1:1 prep call and group preparation). During the retreat, you are held by warm, trauma-informed facilitators, with structured circles and integration support woven into the schedule. After the retreat, integration continues through one private 1:1 integration call and one group integration call, plus continuity via our community space.

To support preparation, regulation, and integration, you also receive access to our AI-supported BioPsyche Renewal Protocol app before, during, and after the retreat.
